General Game Play
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 has been developed by David Braben and Frontier
developments with advice from Chris Sawyer. The game is set to launch
in the holiday season 04 and will be a big hit. Some of the general
game play features are:
-3D Graphics
Probably the most obvious new addition and the most stunning, the
game gets a makeover with these superb 3D graphics.
-Day & Night
RCT3 comes complete with cool lighting effects: dawn, day, dusk
and night. I am sure that we will have to manage the park differently
when it becomes night time. I also believe there is an option to
speed up time or change from day to night or night to day.
-Sandbox Mode
For all those master park makers out there, this is your dream.
RCT3 will come with a complete sandbox mode.
-Increased Control
In RCT3 we will have increased control over smaller things such
as sizes of umbrellas, what food to other in stalls and more control
over things in general.
 -New
Interface
RCT3 sports a brand new interface which takes up less of the screen
and is in the bottom left hand corner. (Kind of like Sim City)
-Think Big, Very Big
RCT3 allows you to build MASSIVE parks, the developers have said
to build a park with several thousand peeps (and no two are the
same!!!)

Coasters
In RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 there will be 33 different roller coasters
(around 75%+ of content from RCT2) and up to 3 variations of each
(for themes). All other rides are also back and new designs, these
also have different variations for themes. Some top features include:
-Riding Coasters
In RCT3 you will be able to ride roller coasters in first person,
front seat view or peep view. First person will give you the feeling
of a simulator as will front seat view, peep view will allow you
to watch the facial reactions of your guests for every turn, twist
and loop.
-Pre-made Coasters & Build your own
As in previous versions of RCT you will be able to build pre-made
coasters and construct your own. You can construct in first person
mode and it is said to be easier with the new 3D engine.

Peeps
 Peeps
are a lot more advanced in RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. We have researched
this and have found the following features set this new generation
of peeps apart from the old generation in the original series:
-No Two Peeps Look The Same
The unique 3D engine enables RCT3 to change the look of every single
character to make the game more realistic.
-Age, Gender & Social Behaviour
In RCT3 you have a lot of people to satisfy (just like real life).
What peeps ride, do and eat depends on their age, gender & social
group.
For example teenagers will be more adventurous and sneak off, tourists
will stick to the major attractions and take pictures, families
will try to stick together and ride rides together.
- Facial
Expressions & Reactions
In RCT3 you will be able to clearly see your guests reaction to
everything by their facial expressions. Some include: feeling sick,
to grinning, smiling and throwing hands in the air. You can even
watch your guest’s reactions to every turn, loop and g-force
while riding a roller coaster.
-The Sims
In RCT3 you can even create your own family and watch how they react
to your theme park.

Themes
 RollerCoaster
Tycoon 3 will incorporate 5 themes: futuristic, wild west, generic
(theme park), adventure and spooky. You will be able to get different
scenery, coasters, shops, rides and other items for each of these
themes.
Some of the items we have seen in screenshots and videos include:
enormous glass tubes, glass palaces, animated characters, robot
cowboys, stage shows, elephant entertainer, squid entertainer, panda
entertainer, pumpkin man, terminators, laser guns and robot mans.

Scenarios
 RCT3
will sport 18 scenarios. The scenario system will be mostly the
same as the original games with a couple of differences:
-Only Goal Based
No more time limits, the missions will be purely goal based.
-Difficulty Levels
There are 3 difficulty levels: apprentice, entrepreneur and tycoon
(in order of difficulty). Only after completing the game in a higher
difficulty level can you unlock the last two scenarios.
-Sub-Missions
Inside the scenarios their will be sub-missions such as selling
certain amount of hot dogs or building rides for certain periods
of the year. Completing sub-missions will lead to new items and
game features.
