Rage - Tell me a little about yourself. Boballie - I am a student, 15. (unlike some webmasters I know, I am not afraid to say how young I am). I am male and from Louisiana. I play a trumpet (band) and thats all I will say. stop stalking me :( lol Rage - How did you first hear of RollerCoaster Tycoon? Boballie - I saw it at Walmart on the rack. I wasn't into computers or roller coasters then. I always loved riding roller coasters and enjoyed my computer. The cover caught my attention. I didn't know it at the time, but I think it was only a few months after it came out, maybe a few weeks. I became addicted and here I am a few years later, lol. Rage - What made you decide to call your site Boballie.com Boballie - It was a nickname given to me by my band director in middle school. My friend decided how to spell it, and thats how it was brought about. The site had two names before Boballie.com. It was called Roller Coaster Tycoon Town (my cousin called RCT, RCTown) and Roller Coaster Tycoon University (I was trying to be fancy). I have no plans on ever giving up on Boballie.com, no matter what the site's topic be :) Rage - Was there something that wasn't in RCT1 that you would like to see in RCT2? Boballie - Lots of things. I would like to see more reality but into the game. A night time mode would be great, but can wait. I REALLY WANT a pyrotechnic/water show!!! If not, I would still like to see shows in the game, where the people sit down and watch in the stands. I also would like to see snack machines, picnic tables, and importable objects (that people could make and download off of the internet). Rage - What site/s do you think you compete with the most? Boballie - Right now I am just starting. I do not compete with any sites, but try to affiliate with them. I am currently working on becoming even with all the top RCT sites. Rage - What other RollerCoaster Tycoon sites do you visit often? Boballie - TycoonPlanet, RCT Station, RCTINC, Tycoon Resource, RCTUK, RCTOA, RCT2.CO.UK, RCT2 Unofficial, RCT2RC, and MANY other RCT fan sites. Those are just the ones that poped up into my head. I also visit all of Boballie.com's affiliates daily. Rage - What are your future plans for Boballie.com? Boballie - I plan to grow. We will, of course, cover all aspects of the upcoming sequel.. as we have already began to. In the near future, I plan to add lots of features to the site. Some of them include a RCT webring, RCT Topsites, Download Ratings (you rate them), etc. Rage - Who is boballie's graphic designer? Who makes the layout? Boballie - I make all of the graphics and the site layout(s) up to date. We currently just got a new staff member, Johnny, which seems to be real good with graphics and flash. He is currently working on a new intro for Boballie.com. I really have little time to work on flash and graphics. Maintaining the site takes a lot of time. Rage - Have you ever thought about giving up on your site? If yes, why? Boballie - I had very few times that I thought of giving my site up, as I am sure most webmasters have. On the other hand, I never "really" thought about giving it up. Rage - What is the hardest thing about being an RCT webmaster? Boballie - It takes a lot of time! I wish I could stop time to work on the site, lol. With school, it is becoming extremely hard to fit anything in on the weekdays. Rage - How many people work for your site if any? What do they do? If not have you ever thought about hiring anyone? Boballie - Many people work at Boballie.com. Although I have to admit I have did almost all of the work up to date, I am currently working on getting the rest of the staff active. LinuxWiz has done some of the work too. Johnny is currently working on flash and graphics. RCT Wizkid has done a lot on the Message Base and is doing a great job. Jeff is a great idea generator and is probably behind 50% of the features on Boballie.com. He is working on polls and I am working on getting him more active. The rest of the staff members can be seen on the Boballie.com staff page. Rage - What do you dislike about RollerCoaster Tycoon 1? Boballie - Nothing. I think it is a great game. Rage - What do you think about RCT2RC.com? Boballie - I think it is a great site. I think it will be very sucessful in the future, when Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 comes out. I do have a tip for you. Do not change the design often, it slows down progress. It slowed my site down by over a year! Rage - What is your all time favorite PC game? Boballie - Roller Coaster Tycoon. I really enjoy the "Tycoon" Games. I like Zoo Tycoon, Monopoly Tycoon, Fast Food Tycoon, etc. I also enjoy the Sims, but I do not have the series. Rage - Any final comments? Preston - Well my name is Preston! I live in Southlake Texas right beside DFW Int. Airport! I am a senior in high school right now. I started web design classes about 3 years ago and started the RCTSHACK about 2 years ago.

Preston - OK, wierd story! When i decited to make a site, i wanted to do Roller Coaster Tycoon becasue it was my favorite game (and still is). And all the names like RCT - Center, World, Place, and so on were taken, and i was thinking of things to call it. Well i looked out my window in my game room and saw my barn in my backyard and thought "SHACK" so i named it RCTSHACK!!!

Preston - I saw it on the shelf at wal-mart, i had never heard of it before that time! i bought it and it was addicting!

Rage - Was there somthing that wasn't in RCT1 that you would like to see in RCT2?

Preston - More inside shops that are bigger than 1 tile by 1 tile, like food courts and candy stores and so on!

Preston - All RCT Sites, i mean all of us are great in certain ways, but all have our small differences! i guess every site that is 50 times larger than me is a big competition! but thats fine, i will never make money off my site so i don't mind if they steal my visitors!

Preston - Chocobogo, RCT Inc., RCT UK, RCT Station, RCT2.com, And all of my affiliates!!!

Preston - well i hope to expand my forums and have more people come to them. My good friend Xhaiver is building them for me, and is much more talented than me, so i needed to metion him!!! I hope everyone joins!!!

Preston - I do everything but the forums, i have had a few graphics donated by some people, but most everyhting i do myself!!!

Preston - sometimes i do, but i don't think i could, but if everything goes down hill then it will come to my mind, although i would probly hand it off to someone who can give their time to keep it running, but that isn't in the near future.

Rage - How many people work for your site if any? What do they do? If not have you ever thought about hiring anyone?

Preston - Just me, i do everyhting for the site, i think it would be nice to have someone else helping, but i can't see that working out with my weird times on the computer, the forums once agian are done by Xhaiver, so i count him as a staff member!

Preston - not being able to make rollercoaster like the real life ones, i guess because they can't bend the same way, and the supports are always the same!!!

Rage - What is your name? Jon - Jon Nelson
Rage - What is the hardest part of being the webmaster of the official RCT site? Jon - Well, since I am the webmaster for every title that Infogrames releases(not only RCT), my days are very busy. Rage - Do you ever visit fan sites apart from when you are reviewing them for the links page? Jon - Sometimes Rage - Do you play RCT? Jon - I have, but I really love my consoles! Rage - Do you have any suggestions for my site (www.rct2rc.com)? Jon - You may want to redesign your logo, it is a bit blah....also use a bit more art/colors from RCT...your site should reflect how much fun the game is. *Thank you Jon for giving me some time in your busy schedual* Go see the house that Jon built!

SJS - What is your name? Stealth - I'm Paul Sands. SJS - What is your position at Tycoon Planet? Stealth - Well a number of things. Co-Webmaster, and ToS Violations Investigator- Thats where i check our hosted websites to see if they are doing anything illegal SJS - How long have you been at Tycoon Planet? Stealth - coming up for 2 years SJS - How did you first hear about RCT? Stealth - I played a demo from a cover cd on a PC mag. i think it was pc gamer. i was hooked immediately and so was my sister. she then bought me the game when it was released for my birthday SJS - What would you like to see in RCT 2? Stealth - i dont have anything in mind i want, because that would ruin the fun of being surprised when i play it for the first time SJS - Have you ever felt like you wanted to give up the web site and playing rct? If so what changed your mind? Stealth - I dont really play rct much anymore, ive more or less beat the game and the fun has worn off. As for tycoonplanet, the only time i feel like giving up is when people slag our website without good reason. Like the tycoonplanet hate site that was set up. They didnt give any reason to hate our site they just called us lots of rude names, which isnt very nice. I appreciate people sending emails telling what they dislike and why, then i know how to better the site. but slander just gets you down. Calling us assholes without an explanation and saying we are theives especially without evidence of what has been "copied" SJS - What does the future hold for Tycoon Planet? Stealth - Well at the moment we will be concentrating on adding more quality content, pdate with more downloads and keep up with the latest news and generally keep our fans happy. The distant future we hope will see the addition of other tycoon games and coaster games alike.
SJS - Who do you think are th 2 biggest competitors in the RCT community? Stealth - I would say rct station is a major competitior, they recieve a lot of page views although im positive we have far more content. Yes they have busy forums and a stunning knowledge base of course. RCT Inc is going well, Jackos a cool guy and has nice plans for his site. And of course RCTOA will be superb when its launched SJS - Do you like our site? Stealth - i think it has a really nice layout and lots of good content. Your website certainly has a lot of potential as long as you work at it. SJS - Any final comments? Stealth - I would like to say thanks to all the people who visit tycoonplanet, all the webmasters of websites who stick together and uphold the belief that a community is not a competition.
