Tycoon 3 has been developed by David Braben and Frontier developments
with advice from Chris Sawyer. The game is set to launch Christmas
2004 and will be a big hit. Some of the general game play features
are:
- 3D Graphics
Probably the most obvious new addition and the most stunning, the
game gets a makeover with superb 3D graphics. I can't wait to start
building roller coasters and actually ride them!
- Day & Night
RCT 3 comes complete with cool lighting effects:
dawn, day, dusk and night. I am sure that we will have to manage
the park differently when it becomes night time. I also think there
will be an option to speed up time or change from day to night or
night to day.
- Sandbox Mode
For all those master park makers out there, this is your dream.
RCT 3 will come with a complete sandbox mode.
- Increased Control
In RCT3 we will have increased control over smaller things such
as sizes of umbrellas, what food to other in stalls and more control
over things in general.
- New Interface
RCT 3 sports a brand new interface which takes up less of the screen
and is in the bottom left hand corner. (Kind of like the game Sim
City)
- Think Big, Very Big
RCT3 allows you to build MASSIVE parks, the developers have said
they built a park with several thousand peeps!
